My name is Wei DAI. Welcome to my personal website!
I’m a research associate and Ph.D. candidate in Air Traffic Management Research Institute (ATMRI) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Currently I’m working on path and trajectory planning algorithms for UAS operation with a consideration of urban airspace management, and the measurement of consequent efficiency and safety performances. My broader research interests include air traffic management (ATM), Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM), safety assessment of flight operation, ATM systems performance evaluation and optimization.
Before coming to Singapore, I spent 6 months working in the Chair of Air Transport Technology and Logistics at Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. From 2016 to early 2019, I worked at the Civil Aviation University of China (CAUC), where I contributed to several research projects and also gave lecturers to undergraduate students.
I received my Master’s degree in 2015 and Bachelor’s degree in 2012, both from Tianjin University, a leading research university in China. During 2011 to 2015, I worked in the Process Tomography and Multiphase Flow Measurement Lab (PT&MFM Lab) under the supervision of Professor Chao TAN and Professor Feng DONG . That’s the very start of my research and I’ve been having fun from it.
